Gianni Anastasi was born in Potenza in 1956 and in the last twenty-seven years he lived in Madrid with his wife Luisa and his two children Jacobo and Clara. He is a translator and director of the SAT agency that deals with translation and dubbing for cinema, TV channels and the world of advertising. He edited the Spanish language editions of several works by some of the major Italian writers such as Maria Antonietta Macciocchi, Claudio Magris, Antonio Tabucchi, etc.
He participated as press agent and simultaneous interpreter at the first edition of the Italian Film Week in Madrid together with Giulietta Masina, Roberto Benigni, Alberto Sordi, Paolo Villaggio, Tonino Cervi, Miguel Bosé, etc.
In the music field he has worked as a reporter for several Italian radio stations and then as a music consultant for several Spanish television programs. He took part as press officer on the tours of Julio Iglesias, The Police, Black Sabbath, Sting, The Rolling Stones, Paul Mccartney, etc.
He currently collaborates on several opinion blogs both in Italy and in Spain and is writing his first novel entitled La mano sulla valigia.
