Lucifer over London industrial, folk apocalittico e controculture radicali in Inghilterra
Throbbing Gristle, Psychic Tv, Coil, Current 93, Death in June, Sol Invictus certainly deserve special attention among English bands able to redefine the contours of the musical counterculture, not only of their country of origin.
Their experiences, however, are to be considered separated from a common tradition, or to put it another way, is there a black heart of English culture? The author is convinced of this second hypothesis.
Lucifer over London, as well as a detailed description of cult musical genres, such as industrial and apocalyptic folk, becomes a large fresco, demystifying and reckless, of the society and art of Great Britain describing, in a fascinating linear synthesis, the hidden characters and not neglecting anything: from philosophy to esotericism, from painting to politics, up to the end of this long journey, the radical counter cultures of the English underground in recent decades, always poised between iconoclastic fury and desire for restoration of a mythical and real Eden at the same time.
